This year, the global smartphone market may continue to grow at a single-digit rate, but among the platforms, only the Android segment was able to add significantly to this.
This year, roughly 1.24 billion smartphones will be sold globally, according to market researcher IDC’s preliminary estimate, which assumes an annual growth of about 6.2%, after two years of decline. However, its market growth may slow down somewhat next year, even though artificial intelligence is making its way into this segment as well, and even though more and better smartphones with bendable displays are appearing.
Compared to this, sales are driven primarily by the sale of entry-level Android devices this year, according to IDC, in the Asian, Latin American, Middle Eastern and African regions, as well as in China, their segment grew by 7.6%, while iOS-based devices, i.e. the sale of iPhones essentially only changed within a margin of error.
Machine recruiting: you may not like it
AI has become irreversibly integrated into the recruitment process.
One of the primary reasons for this is that Apple could not significantly increase its sales in its traditionally strong markets, i.e. the United States, China and the European Union, in the third quarter, although the appearance of the new iPhones may have a delayed effect on market shares, and the iPhone ok’s sales will increase over time with the gradual availability of Apple Intelligence functions in the affected regions (with the exception of China of course), so much so that in 2025 the platform It will achieve a growth of 3.1%, while the turnover of Android mobile phones may only increase by 1.7%.
