It is noted that the brake pedal should be elastic, not sink, and there should be no extraneous sounds or vibrations during braking.
“You need to check the antifreeze level and make sure that its freezing point is suitable for the region of travel. It is also necessary to fill the reservoir with winter washer fluid. All lights and lamps must work without failure. Before each trip, you should clear your headlights of dirt and ice for good visibility,” experts said.
They added that the winter road can be unpredictable, so it is important to have the following set of things in the car: a spare tire, a jack and tools, a tow rope and jumper leads, a brush and scraper for windows, a shovel and snow chains, a first aid kit and drinking water, warm clothes and a blanket.
“In winter, it is important to take into account weather conditions and route features: check the weather forecast in order to be prepared for possible precipitation or ice. Knowing about bad weather in advance, you can choose a safer route and determine the best time to leave,” the press service advised.
