One of the strengths of the Telegram communication platform is its support for bots. Previously, we talked about such assistants stuffed with artificial intelligence, provided a selection of bot services for travelers, and shared other interesting discoveries in this area. It’s time to revisit this topic.

Bot for monitoring the cost of a taxi. It operates in conjunction with the Yandex Taxi service, monitors current transport tariffs and sends a notification as soon as the price drops to a specified limit. A godsend for those who want to save on traveling around the city and want to avoid overpaying.
Bot assistants of Beeline and T2. Services that allow you to use the services of the largest mobile operators in Russia, namely: view information about the tariff used, check your personal account balance, find the nearest service offices, promptly resolve emerging issues and contact technical support specialists.
Bot for monitoring your computer screen. Monitors activities occurring on the Windows desktop and informs about detected changes (Fig. 1). Can be useful for monitoring the actions of programs that require close attention and instant response to events. For the bot to work, you need to install a client application on your PC and set the screen area for monitoring.
Bot for transcribing audio recordings, voice and video messages. It can be useful for journalists, copywriters, translators and representatives of other professions, whose work often requires them to process media files and convert them into text format. The bot is based on the SmartSpeech speech synthesis and recognition platform created by Sber specialists. The service can be used in personal correspondence or added to group chats.
Bot for monitoring the performance of web resources. Monitors the sites specified in the settings with a frequency of 1 minute. If an Internet site responds to an HTTP request with a code other than 2xx, the service reports this in the messenger. The bot’s services are free, you can take three resources in total – not a lot, but for most website owners and web administrators this is quite enough.
Bot for monitoring domains and SSL certificates. Informs in advance about the expiration of domain names and SSL certificates installed on web servers.
A bot for aggregating messages from different channels into one feed. Allows you to subscribe to Telegram channels and then view the content they publish in the format of a single news feed (Fig. 2). Convenient for putting things in order in the messenger contact list. Filters, automatic translation of messages from foreign language sources, forwarding of comments and other functions are supported.
Bot for redirecting messages from groups/channels/chat. Like the above-mentioned product, it can be used to generate a news feed from several sources, as well as automatically redirect messages from various sources to a channel or group. Integration with ChatGPT and preprocessing of sent content using artificial intelligence are supported. It is possible to configure keywords and stop words to filter messages.
Bot for reading RSS feeds. It may be of interest to those who, out of habit, still resort to aggregators that support Rich Site Summary or Atom data formats to receive news reports. Such solutions are as easy as possible to use, and this bot is one of them: among the available functions there is only a dialog box for subscribing to RSS sources and filter settings that allow you to create a news feed in accordance with the user’s preferences.
Task manager. Designed for maintaining lists of tasks and monitoring their completion within a given time frame. Can be used both for personal purposes and as part of joint projects with other Telegram users. Effective work in a business environment is ensured by the presence of statuses and priorities, the ability to attach files to tasks, tools for delegating tasks to specific performers, and other tools typical for this type of product.
A bot for those who monitor their physical health. An assistant for adherents of a healthy lifestyle and those who strive to lose weight at any cost. It can determine body mass index based on user-entered data, calculate daily calorie intake, distribute proteins, fats and carbohydrates within the selected weight loss program, and also control other important diet parameters (Fig. 3).
Translator bot. A service for translating texts from one language to another. Built on the basis of Yandex linguistic technologies, it knows 13 languages and can work as part of group chats, automatically translating messages sent by users.
A bot for practicing foreign languages. Allows you to develop existing knowledge in a dialogue form and improve your level of proficiency in English, German, French, Spanish and Serbian. Thanks to artificial intelligence, it simulates live communication with a person, analyzes answers, suggests how they can be improved, and gives examples of phrases used by native speakers.
Accountant bot. A tool for individual entrepreneurs. Knows how to calculate insurance premiums for individual entrepreneurs, helps reduce taxes under the simplified tax system, reminds you of upcoming payments and submission of reports. The bot’s functionality also allows you to fill out a tax return and generate various payment documents (Fig. 4).
Bot for accounting finances. It operates in tandem with the Google Sheets service and allows you to solve problems related to maintaining a personal or family budget, as well as small business accounting. Can decipher and classify hastily made entries (for example, “100 MTS communications” → “Expenses of 100 rubles on MTS mobile communications”), which are synchronized with Google spreadsheets and can be used for viewing on various devices. Collaborative work with the bot in group chats is supported.
Bot for checking counterparties. Allows you to use the OGRN or INN code to obtain information about the organization or individual entrepreneur of interest. Tools are also available for checking the blocking of accounts and the presence of information about the counterparty on the blacklists of the Federal Tax Service and the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, monitoring changes in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities and obtaining extracts from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities with the mark of the Federal Tax Service of Russia.
Bot lawyer. Solution for automating legal processes. Thanks to integration with ChatGPT, it can analyze contracts, check them for compliance with current legislation, identify risks and suggest improvements to the text. In addition to this, the bot helps in drawing up lawsuits, claims and other legally significant papers. Also included in the list of supported functions is a search for court decisions and consultation on various legal issues (Fig. 5).
Antivirus bot. A service from Doctor Web that allows you to check the security of files up to 20 MB in size and links (Fig. 6). You can interact with the software solution both in a private dialogue and in a group conversation – if you add a bot to it, it will analyze on the fly all links and files sent by users for malicious code.
Mail bot. The simplest email client that allows you to work with email correspondence from Telegram. When connecting to the service, the user is automatically given an email address on the etlgr.com domain and shown a set of control commands. Using the bot, you can send and receive letters, respond to messages and view documents attached to them.
Bot for identifying musical compositions. An analogue of the popular Shazam service. It is enough to send the bot an audio message with a fragment of an unknown melody or song, and in response the name of the track with the name of the artist will be received.
Bot for creating website screenshots. It can be used both for its intended purpose and to check suspicious links. In addition to creating screenshots, it can calculate the IP address of a web server, its geographic location and the name of the organization providing hosting services (Fig. 7).
Reminder bot. A simple but effective tool for planning meetings, tasks and other everyday tasks. It is enough to send the bot a text or voice message like “every 28th at 20 o’clock, pay for mobile services” or “tomorrow at 9:15 congratulate a colleague on his anniversary,” and the service will automatically set a corresponding reminder at a specified time.
A bot for checking the presence of a resource in the Roskomnadzor blocking list. Allows you to quickly check an IP address, domain or specific web page for presence in the register of network platforms, access to which is limited in the Russian Federation. Useful for checking the accessibility of sites and understanding the reasons for adding certain resources to the blacklist.
Bot for converting voice messages into text. A development by Sber, which can provide invaluable assistance in cases where it is not possible to listen to sent audio recordings – this kind of situation can arise at work, during meetings, in public places or in a noisy environment. The bot uses the SaluteSpeech speech recognition service API, supports Russian, English, Kazakh languages and, in addition to voice messages, can process video recordings and attached audio files.
Bot for recognizing text from images. Allows you to quickly extract text data from scanned copies of printed documents. Supports Russian, Ukrainian, English and German languages. The description of the bot does not say anything about the security and protection of processed files, so it is not recommended to use it to recognize scans of documents with personal data and confidential information.
URL shortener bot. Classic of the genre. Works in tandem with the well-known TinyURL service, which provides short alternative links to redirect long domain names.
Radiobot. A service that provides access to an archive of broadcasts from various radio stations, which can be listened to directly in the Telegram messenger. The bot’s catalog contains popular Russian (federal and regional), British, American, Ukrainian, Italian and Iranian radio stations. All recordings are compressed using the economical AAC+ codec, thanks to which one hour of broadcast weighs only 15 MB, which ensures comfortable listening to the radio in networks with low data transfer rates.
Dictionary bot. A service that provides access to an impressive collection of explanatory and thematic dictionaries in Russian, Ukrainian, English and German. Interaction with Wiktionary and Wikipedia is supported, as well as with the translation systems of Yandex and Google.
A bot for creating musical notations and more. A development by students of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, built using artificial intelligence technologies and with an eye on people who are interested in music. Allows you to convert musical audio recordings into sheet music for playing the piano, separate the voice and accompaniment into separate components in compositions, obtain lyrics by title or keywords, and download audio files. Interaction with YouTube, Yandex Music and Spotify services is supported, as well as processing of manually uploaded media files.
This is our hodgepodge of thirty Telegram bots for all occasions. In conclusion, it is worth noting that the idea of mini-applications is increasingly used in the Telegram ecosystem, and a striking example of this is the Mini Apps platform (formerly WebApps), which is actively developed by the messenger team, which allows you to make bots even more interactive and functional. Many developers are already using Mini Apps to create services inside Telegram and are releasing quite interesting products, which we will review in a separate article.
