THY Middle East and Cyprus Sales Vice President Erol Şenol, who was in the delegation, made evaluations about the visit to the AA correspondent.
Stating that they came to Damascus with the THY technical delegation, Şenol said, “We had meetings and evaluations with the Syrian Civil Aviation Presidency and Syrian Airlines management. Our meetings went well. They hosted us nicely. Our technical units met with their interlocutors. They took their notes.” he said.
Şenol noted that they discussed the necessary processes for the start of flights between Damascus and Turkey during the meetings and said, “We evaluated the operations processes of the airport. We also evaluated the fleet structure of Syrian Airlines. We held consultations together. Our aim is primarily to strengthen the technical and technological infrastructure of Syrian Airlines.” he said.
Stating that they aim to make Damascus-Istanbul flights as soon as possible, Şenol said, “We inspected the airport and made evaluations to determine the flights between Damascus and Istanbul operationally. A clear date will be determined soon.” he said.
Şenol thanked the Damascus Embassy and its staff for their contributions.
