You can make a spectacular wreath for the festive table from flowers that grow in nature. The ditch float growing on the edges of wet ditches has beautiful shades of color.
Ditch lily grows on the edges of damp ditches, but its beautiful, sleeping flowers go unnoticed by many. The color of the flowers varies from pale yellow to shades of pink and purple. The durable, small ditch float only grows to a height of 30–40 cm.
Collect the flowers of the canal boat the night before. Remove the unnecessary leaves and cut the sloping suction surfaces on the stems of the flowers. Put the flowers in plenty of water in a cool place, for example in the refrigerator. When you mist the wreath with water from time to time, you can make it stay beautiful longer.
The drain float also dries beautifully. If you are drying the ditch float wreath, hang it upside down in a dry and dark place.
