Estonian people are living older and older, the need for healthcare services is increasing, the burden on hospitals is increasing, and there is a shortage of doctors.

Health care is becoming more and more expensive for us as a country. In a situation where every year we have to find hundreds of millions more for health care at the expense of something, we could think about whether it is possible to cut somewhere without compromising on quality or by increasing it in pieces instead. Treatment close to home, which is considered economically inefficient, could save money for both the patient and the state.
