TikTok’s Caption Upgrade: Styles and Emojis without CapCut

A feature update for subtitling videos makes the work of creators on TikTok easier and may provide more watch time.

If you want to make the all-important subtitles for TikTok videos more eye-catching and match your own style, you usually use additional tools such as CapCut. But now TikTok is offering the first creators an opportunity to make the subtitles (captions) more individual – directly in the app’s editing function.

Create attractive captions on TikTok even without CapCut

Social media expert Jonah Manzano discovered the feature and points out threads about it; where he links a YouTube video in which he demonstrates the new function himself.

In it he shows how users can create a video and then select the captions in the editing function and, for example, use different font styles. You can also select highlight options and even integrate appropriate emojis.

We were already able to find some subtitle adjustment options in the app, but not yet these new and expanded options. TikTok should soon roll it out to more users. Please let us know in the comments if you can already access it.
