TIME Magazine’s cover with a ‘Biden’ reference

TIME magazine, one of the leading weekly political publications in the United States, prepared a new cover by referencing a previous cover design after US President Joe Biden withdrew from the Democratic Party presidential candidacy.

US President Biden’s live debate with Trump was the beginning of the end for him, and his unclear answers brought calls for him to “withdraw his candidacy.” Following Biden’s unclear answers, Democrats reached a consensus that they needed a new candidate against former US President Trump. Following the live broadcast on June 27, TIME magazine published a cover for its June 28 issue with the word “panic” showing Biden’s departure.

After Biden announced his withdrawal from candidacy, TIME magazine published a cover featuring Vice President Kamala Harris, referencing its June 28 cover. The new cover, which barely shows Biden, features Harris positioned near the middle of the page.

On Sunday, Biden announced his intention to support Harris’ candidacy while withdrawing from the nomination process. Harris, on the other hand, stated that she would “earn the nomination” and announced her intention to be the Democratic Party’s presidential nominee.
