Time to save lives is up. The search for Titan is still going nowhere, but it continues

Admiral John Mauger of the US Coast Guard anyway for Sky News confirmed that the search operation is continuing. A remotely controlled submarine launched by the Canadian ship Horizon Arctic even today she achieved seabed and began searching for Titan on it.

Mauger said conditions for the search are currently favorable. On the contrary, he moderated expectations regarding the recorded sounds when he stated that it was mostly “ocean noise”. Sky News recalled that shortly after 1 p.m. today, according to estimates, the submarine ran out of oxygen.

Adventurer Per Wimmer, a friend of two members of the expedition, nevertheless believes that the crew may still be alive. “They are very, very experienced,” he emphasized CNN. “I have no doubt that they know how to stay calm and consume as little oxygen as possible to prolong their lives as long as possible,” he added.

For example, researcher Tom Dettweiler, who led the pioneering expedition to the Titanic in 1985, however, had previously warned that there would be no victory even if the vessel was found. “You can’t get oxygen into a submarine at such a depth,” Pro emphasized CNN. According to Dettweiler, it would be necessary to get the submarine to the surface as quickly as possible and open it there. “Unfortunately, it can’t be done that quickly. We’re still talking hours,” he explained.

The lost Titan submarine is probably at a depth of 13,000 feet. How deep is it in the ocean? COMPARISON

The submarine went missing on Sunday morning hundreds of miles off Cape Cod, Massachusetts, when it was at a depth of about four kilometers. There are supposed to be five people on board, including British billionaire Hamish Harding. BBC also managed to verify that the French traveler Paul-Henry Nargeolet, a member of the first expedition to the wreck of the cruise ship in 1987, nicknamed Mr Titanic, is also present inside the Titan.

Trips to the wreck last several days and cost tens of thousands of dollars. Specifically, the OceanGate company is demanding $250,000 for a place on board the submarine.

The Titanic lies 3,800 meters deep at the bottom of the ocean. It is located about 600 kilometers off the coast of Newfoundland, Canada. The legendary ship sank during its first and at the same time last voyage on April 15, 1912. The immediate cause of the accident, which claimed over 1,500 lives, was a collision with an iceberg.

The ship made headlines again in the mid-1980s when it was discovered at the bottom of the ocean during a search for something completely different. On September 1, 1985, at 0:38 a.m., footage of a ship that had not been seen for over 70 years appeared on the screens in the Knorr.
