Tineco Pure One Station 5 Plus im Test

With the Pure One Station 5 Plus, Tineco already has its third cordless cordless vacuum cleaner with an automatic cleaning station in its range. At around 350 euros, the device is also very attractively priced. We tried out whether it was also technically convincing.

Processing and accessories

The vacuum cleaner including station is delivered disassembled and only needs to be put together. This can be done quickly and easily. The battery is separate and can be replaced with a second battery if necessary (not included). The workmanship of the device appears robust and stable. The design is also pleasing, although the height seems to take some getting used to at first glance. Tineco only supplies an upholstery nozzle as an accessory. In our opinion, this is a bit poor; other models have much more to offer here.

The floor brush of the cordless vacuum cleaner is a so-called “ZeroTangle” brush. This has both V-shaped bristles and a double comb, which detangles hair and prevents it from sticking. This worked perfectly in the test, making the device also interesting for pet owners.

The cleaning station is equipped with a large 2.5 liter dust container that can be easily removed and emptied if necessary. A small 0.45 liter dirt tank is also integrated into the cordless vacuum cleaner. Both the cordless vacuum cleaner and the station also have a HEPA filter system.

Operation and suction power of the cordless vacuum cleaner

The cordless vacuum cleaner fits well in the hand and is easy to use. You can select the suction power accordingly using a control unit on the top. There are three levels to choose from, with the device vacuuming at the highest level with 175 watts. The automatic function is practical: the integrated iLoop Smart Sensor detects the amount of dust and automatically adjusts the suction power. This worked great in the test and, in addition to dust, smaller stones, hair and crumbs were also reliably removed. The green LED lighting on the floor nozzle is also helpful, as it illuminates all areas well.

One drawback, however, is that the suction pipe does not have an articulated joint. If you want to vacuum under the sofa or cupboard, you can only get about half way. The rest remains dirty, willy-nilly. The brush roller of the floor nozzle rotates around 3,000 times per minute and removes even deeper dirt. The background noise takes some getting used to because the vacuum cleaner is really loud – especially at maximum power. When using the upholstery nozzle, however, it is significantly quieter.

The manufacturer specifies the battery performance as a maximum of 70 minutes in Eco mode (under optimal conditions). In the test, we vacuumed with a floor brush at the maximum level, but the battery died after around 15 minutes. But that’s completely ok. The running time was significantly longer in Eco mode – we cleaned the entire apartment for 40 minutes and the device was still running.

Automatic suction station

The suction station of the Tineco Pure One Station 5 Plus performed reliably in the test. After cleaning, the cordless vacuum cleaner is simply hung in the station and cleaned there: The dirt is automatically sucked into the dust container and the suction tube, floor brush and filter are blown through vigorously. You practically don’t have to do anything anymore – except empty the dust container after a certain while. But since, as already mentioned, it holds a full 2.5 liters, you can take your time with it. At the same time, the cleaning station is used to charge the cordless vacuum cleaner and also to store it.
