“sportstudio live” three times on ZDF: On Saturday the Ironman World Championships in Hawaii will be broadcast live and on TV. It continues with an international women’s football match and the second round of the men’s DFB Cup.
Triathlon: Men’s Ironman World Championships
On Saturday, October 26, 2024, the triathletes will be looking for their Ironman world champion again in Hawaii – last year they started in Nice for the first time. The oldest long-distance triathlon involves 3.8 kilometers of swimming, 180 kilometers of cycling and 42 kilometers of running.
The men’s Ironman World Championships in Kailua-Kona can be followed in the ZDF live stream on sportstudio.de and in the ZDFmediathek from 6:15 p.m. On ZDF, “sportstudio live” goes on air after “das aktuell sportstudio” from 12:30 a.m. and broadcasts live from Hawaii until 2:15 a.m.
Presenter Lena Kesting welcomes the on-site viewers to the Ironman World Championships in Second. The three-time Ironman winner Jan Frodeno is there as an expert and Florian Zschiedrich is available for interviews. Marc Windgassen comments on the triathlon competition, and Sebastian Kienle, winner of the Ironman Hawaii ten years ago, is also on the microphone as a co-commentator.
Women’s international football match: Germany – Australia
Second international match under the new national coach Christian Wück – and at the same time the captain’s farewell to the national team. On Monday, October 28, 2024, 6:10 p.m., the German women’s national soccer team will take on Australia in Duisburg – and Alexandra Popp will end her career in the DFB team after fourteen and a half years in the national jersey.
From 5:50 p.m., presenter Sven Voss will be speaking to “sportstudio live” on ZDF, with Kathrin Lehmann there as an expert. Norbert Galeske comments on the DFB women’s first home international match after the Olympic Games in Paris.
Men’s DFB Cup: 1. FSV Mainz 05 – FC Bayern Munich
In the second round of the DFB Cup, Bundesliga team 1. FSV Mainz 05 will host record cup winners and current Bundesliga leaders FC Bayern Munich on Wednesday, October 30, 2024. Whether Mainz will pull off a cup surprise against the favorites can be seen on ZDF from 8:45 p.m.
The long cup evening starts at 8:15 p.m. in the second, with presenter Sven Voss leading the way. René Adler will be there as an expert, and Gari Paubandt will comment on the live game.
