Miloš Forman’s 1975 classic One Flew Over the Hand is shown today on MTV3 at 22:35. You can also watch the film on MTV Katsomo.

In the movie One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest), based on Ken Kesey’s novel of the same name, petty criminal RP McMurphy is sent to a mental hospital for a psychiatric evaluation. He makes friends with other patients, but does not tolerate the routines carefully nurtured by head nurse Ratched.

Soon, McMurphy’s rebellious spirit plunges the entire department into chaos.

The film, which celebrates Jack Nicholson and Louise Fletcher, also stars Will Sampson, Danny DeVito, Sydney Lassick, William Redfield, Christopher Lloyd and Brad Dourif.

One Flew Over the Palm won all five major awards at the 1976 Academy Awards; the win came in the categories of best film, best actor, best actress, best director and best screenplay.

If you want to deepen your viewing experience after the night’s movie on MTV3, you can still find the Ratched series on Netflix, which, however, is in no way comparable to Miloš Forman’s film.

Review | The prequel series Ratched is far from Jack Nicholson’s classic in many ways
