Tom Hamilton says Steven Tyler is recovering well

Bass player of the group Aerosmith, Tom Hamiltonhas news for fans when it comes to the lead singer’s health, Stevena Tylera.

In September 2023, Aerosmith embarked on a long-awaited farewell tour called “Peace Out”. However, after only three performances, Tyler suffered a fractured larynx and had to rest. The tour was originally pushed back to 2024, but when treatment failed to restore Tyler’s voice, the band canceled all dates and announced their retirement from touring.

In a new interview for WBURHamilton offered upbeat news about Tyler’s condition.

“Steven’s recovery process is going really, really well,” the bassist revealed, “but it’s going at its own pace.”

“Maybe Aerosmith will do something in the future, but that’s a big ‘if,’ and the last thing I want to do is try to push Steven in that direction,” he explained. “If we do anything in the future, it will come from him.”

Meanwhile, Hamilton continued with his new band, Close Enemies. That line-up includes his bass technician, Trace Foster, guitarist Peter Stroud – who has been in Sheryl Crow’s band for decades – and drummer Tony Brock, who has previously toured with Rod Stewart.
