Elena Caragiu, the wife of the great actor Toma Caragiu, died in the United States, on November 14, 2024, announces Aktual24.ro.
The actress was born on September 18, 1937 with the name Elena Bichman. The child was baptized in the Roman Catholic rite, although her father was a Jew of Ukrainian origin.
After finishing high school, he attended the Faculty of Geology at the University of Bucharest. In 1959 she married the actor and playwright Paul Ioachim, after in 1958 she had realized her dream of entering the Institute of Arts (IATC), from which she graduated in 1962. Before taking the assignment in Ploiesti and meeting Toma, Elena played leading roles in Bucharest, as a result of the success with the film Porto Franco (the role of Evantia).â
