Top 10 most downloaded apps in the world in June 2024

Are gadget users not as interested in TikTok as they used to be? At least that’s what a top 10 of the world’s most downloaded apps in June 2024 says. Let’s see who takes the top spot and how the other apps stack up.

Appfigures recently compiled a top 10 list of apps downloaded last month by Android and iOS users globally. This time, Instagram takes the top spot with a record 61 million downloads. TikTok is in second place, having been downloaded on 52 million phones, tablets and other gadgets.

In third place is Facebook. The app was downloaded on 49 million devices in June. WhatsApp (39 million downloads), Telegram (32 million) and Temu are in the other positions. The latter was downloaded on 29 million devices.

Threads, with many fans in Romania as well, climbed to eighth place and was downloaded on 23 million devices. Cap Cut is in seventh place with 26 million downloads. Elon Musk’s platform is not even in the top 10. It has been downloaded on a small number of devices: only 12 million. The surprise comes from Disney+ Hotstar: it is at number 10 and has been downloaded on 23 million gadgets.
