Are you looking for a really good tablet? Here we present the ten best tablets we have tested.
Mobile computer for work and leisure
Tablets can be used in a variety of ways, for school and the office, but also for leisure entertainment. For use in video conferences, the front camera on the tablet is much more important than the rear camera. As a central element, the display is of course very important. The trend here is towards ever larger dimensions. This means there is plenty of space for displaying text or even large tables. But of course the large screen is also ideal for gaming and watching films, especially in combination with stereo speakers.
Tablet as a notebook replacement?
There are numerous accessories for most tablets, such as input pens or keyboards, which make working with the devices easier and can sometimes replace a notebook. External monitors can also often be connected, sometimes in conjunction with a special desktop mode.
Android or iOS?
As with smartphones, tablets are also a battle between Android and iOS, or iPadOS. Which operating system and manufacturer you choose often depends on which devices you already have at home. An iPad works seamlessly with an iPhone and MacBook. Samsung and Huawei also offer deeper integration of their respective devices, so it often makes sense to stay in the same ecosystem.
Expensive versions tested: There are cheaper options
By the way, our test field usually includes the most expensive equipment variants of the individual models. The radio module is almost always included. In addition, the largest storage variant is often tested. Those who can do without LTE/5G or need less storage often get away cheaper.

Testreform: So testet connect Tablets
In September 2021, we revised our testing procedure for tablets. The ratings have been adapted to modern standards, especially in terms of features and operation. We also keep our testing procedure up to date with regular changes and also retrospectively adapt the rating for older devices to the new weighting of the criteria. It can happen that the rating of a device in the best list differs from the original test.
Nothing has changed in the overall weighting of the categories. There is a maximum of 100 points for endurance, and a maximum of 175 points for features. There is a maximum of 125 points for handling, operation and handiness. There is still a maximum of 100 points for the measured values, which include the sound measurement and, above all, the display measurements.
