Yandex Travel analysts have compiled a top 5 Russian holiday destinations for the velvet season. RT has reviewed the study.

One of the first to be included on this list by experts was Vladivostok.

It is noted that the flight from Moscow will take about eight hours, the cost of a ticket is from 17.1 thousand rubles.

“A night in a three-star hotel costs from 5.6 thousand rubles for two,” the company added.

The experts also added Nizhny Novgorod to the list.

“The flow of tourists is decreasing, and the weather remains pleasant and comfortable – an ideal time for strolling along the old streets and getting to know the rich cultural heritage of the city. Be sure to visit the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin – a symbol of the city and an important historical monument,” the experts added.

A train ride from Moscow to Nizhny Novgorod will take about four hours and cost from 1,300 rubles.

“You can also use a high-speed train, which will take you there in 3.5 hours. The ticket price starts from 1,700 rubles. Prices for a night in a three-star hotel start from 2,800 rubles for two,” the study notes.

Kislovodsk attracts tourists with its healing springs and picturesque surroundings, the company shared.

“The main attraction of the city is its resort park, one of the largest in Europe. Be sure to visit the Narzan Gallery, where you can try the famous mineral water. And for lovers of natural beauty, excursions to the Honey Waterfalls, located near the city, are organized here,” the article says.
