In a recent video published on the YouTube channel TEST DRIVE FREAK (with over 260,000 subscribers), Dacia Duster 2024 was put to the test on the famous German Autobahn.
This is one of the few motorways in the world with no speed limit on certain stretches, making it the ideal place to test a car’s performance.
The tested model, Dacia Duster TCe 130 4×2 Journey, equipped with a 1.2-liter gasoline engine and a mild hybrid system, reached a maximum speed of 180 km/h during the test.
Dacia Duster 2024 on the Autobahn: what did we find out at 180 km/h?
At the top speed of 180 km/h, the instantaneous consumption of the car was 11 liters per 100 km, a reasonable value considering the size and weight of the vehicle (1,465 kg).
During the test, after the car exceeded 130 km/h, the rolling noise became more evident, a common feature for many SUVs in this class. However, the noise was not so disturbing that it significantly affected the driving experience.
Dacia Duster 2024 is not only an affordable SUV, but also one that has evolved significantly in terms of design and performance.
With a price of around 26,400 euros in Germany, this car appeals both with its low costs and brand-specific reliability.
If the first generations of Duster were criticized for their modest design, the third generation stands out for its much more modern and sophisticated appearance.
The speed test highlighted some of the dynamic qualities of the new Duster
Even though the engine is not intended for extreme performance, the SUV handled itself decently. Under normal driving conditions, the average consumption is much lower thanks to the mild hybrid technology, which contributes to a reduction of CO2 emissions by around 10%.

While the Dacia Duster is not built for high-speed racing, TEST DRIVE FREAK’s test on the Autobahn showed that this model can handle high speeds with a decent level of performance and stability.
