The Minister of Territorial Policy and Democratic Memory, Ángel Víctor Torres, has asked the PP to “rectify” its decision to cancel talks with the Government on the migration crisis in the Canary Islands, alleging that the State had rejected the aid of the European Union because, he assured, the popular ones “have made a serious mistake.”
This was said this Sunday in an appearance before the media in Las Palmas de Gran Canariawhere he urged the PP to leave the “peregrine excuses” and return to the path of institutionality and the search for solutions instead of being “permanently” in the noise, the anger and the confrontation.
Likewise, Torres He demanded that they change their attitude because “when it turns out that we are almost at the end of the processes, their refusal always arises.”
“It happened with the path of stability,” he continued, “which meant more money for the city councils. On July 23, they were not going to vote against it and when they saw that the Government could have a defeat, they voted against because they put the Government’s defeat ahead of getting more funds.
