Feral Interactive is a studio specializing in porting games known from consoles and PCs to Apple platforms. For some time now, it has been gradually bringing subsequent installments of the popular Total War series to iOS and iPadOS. It was recently announced that their next port will be Total War: Empire. Now, the specific release date of this game in the App Store has finally been announced.
Total War is a popular series of strategy games, most of which allow players to take on the role of commanders of historical powers. The core of the gameplay consists of battles fought in real time, but in the breaks between subsequent battles we can also deal with diplomacy and state management. Total War: Empire, originally released in 2009, takes place in the 18th century, offering players the opportunity to take part in a global conflict that includes clashes on land and sea. The game features several playable factions from that period, including: Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, British Empire, Kingdom of Sweden, Empire of Austria and the United States. The version for iOS and iPadOS will offer a new control system and user interface adapted for touch screens, as well as a number of minor improvements.
The premiere of Total War: Empire for iOS was announced on November 21, but you can now order it on App Store in pre-order for PLN 59.99. It will be a premium production with no additional micropayments.
