Toyota Hilux Rangga Pre-Booking Begins, Convertible Option Available

DAPURPACUID – PT Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM) has once again presented its newest commercial vehicle, the Toyota Hilux Rangga, to the public, ahead of its official launch this year.

This time, TAM is taking advantage of the 2024 GIIAS event to give visitors the opportunity to try the Hilux Rangga in the area provided and pre-book directly at the Toyota booth.

For visitors who are interested in making a conversion, TAM also presents a selection of bodybuilders so that they can adapt to the business concept that will be carried out by business actors.

Vice President Director of PT Toyota-Astra Motor, Henry Tanoto said, after appearing in various activities so far, Hilux Rangga has been able to get a positive response from the public.

In general, Henry continued, the public’s admiration for Toyota’s latest flagship commercial car lies in its design and advantages which can be converted into various modifications according to the specific needs of each customer.

“Specially at this GIIAS moment, we have opened pre-booking for those interested in making Hilux Rangga a solution to meet their various needs,” explained Henry.

Visitors who stop by the Toyota booth can see the Hilux Rangga display that has been converted into several modifications, such as the Hilux Rangga Campervan and the Hilux Rangga Mobile Waste Station.

TAM stated that in the conversion process carried out by bodybuilders, there are three aspects of mobility that can be supported, namely Business, Public Service and Lifestyle.

Toyota believes that the approach that combines functionality for various needs in the Hilux Rangga can be accepted by customers from all walks of life.

TAM presents Hilux Rangga in two variants, namely Standard and High, with petrol and diesel engine options that prospective consumers can choose. The engine position is in front of the cabin to increase driving comfort and safety.

This car also has superior performance, with the ability to carry goods up to 1.2 tons. Of course, fleet and private customers can choose the model that suits their respective needs.

To answer the curiosity of visitors and potential consumers, TAM provides the Hilux Rangga in the test drive area with various modifications, according to the business direction they usually do.

The modified forms of the units that can be tested include the Hilux Rangga Cool Box, Hilux Rangga Dry Box, Hilux Rangga Flat Deck with 3-sided openings and the Hilux Rangga Flat Deck which is given a load of up to 1.2 tons.

Marketing Director of PT Toyota-Astra Motor, Anton Jimmi Suwandy hopes that prospective buyers can directly experience the functionality and reliability of this commercial vehicle.

“We provide a Hilux Rangga test drive unit for customers who want to try it directly, as well as discuss with the body builder for those who want to convert the Hilux Rangga for business and lifestyle activity needs,” he said.

“The various ecosystems that we provide are also ready to provide various customer conveniences to realize the conversion of the Hilux Rangga as a reliable and profitable commercial vehicle,” concluded Anton.

In addition to displaying models for business needs, Hilux Rangga is also present in the Mobile Waste Station conversion, to be able to accept inorganic waste such as cardboard, plastic, cans and paper from visitors to GIIAS 2024.

Furthermore, various waste ‘deposits’ will be processed using the 3R principle (Reuse, Reduce, Recycle), and visitors will receive rewards in the form of e-wallets.

On the other hand, Toyota also collaborates with Jejakin to present the latest breakthrough to accelerate carbon emission reduction by introducing a digital ecosystem, namely the IT’S TIME FOR EVERYONE to Switch (ITFE to Switch) application.

Two flagship features are presented in the application, a collaboration between Toyota and the carbon management platform provider organization, including the Calculator for Carbon Emission and the Carbon Reduction Action Tracker.

Calculator for Carbon Emission can calculate the emissions of vehicles used every day such as cars, motorbikes, trains and buses.

Meanwhile, the Carbon Reduction Action Tracker can calculate carbon reductions made by customers through daily activities such as recycling plastic bottles or planting trees. (dpid/TH)
