DAPURPACUID – Dozens of members of the AvanzaXenia Indonesia Club (AXIC) and Toyota Carbon Fighter (TCF) visited the Toyota Plant I and II factories in Karawang, West Java, Tuesday.
Packaged in an activity entitled ‘Electrification Gathering Part II’, this time they were given the opportunity to see firsthand the hybrid vehicle production process at the factory owned by PT Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia.
For information, through the two TMMIN factories, Toyota’s product line is not only marketed domestically but also traded to several export destination countries in the world.
“The visit to the Toyota factory this time answered our members’ curiosity about the process of making Hybrid vehicles in Indonesia,” said AXIC Chairman, Deny Kristianto.
The man who is also the founder of TCF, admitted that this event was held because many of his members had switched to environmentally friendly vehicles.
“They believe that Toyota hybrid vehicles are still the most appropriate choice of electrified vehicles to support people’s mobility throughout Indonesia.”
Attended by no less than 60 participants from the two communities, the event began with a vehicle inspection by THS (Toyota Home Service) provided by Auto2000 Lippo Cikarang.
Next, they were invited to tour TMMIN Plant I and Plant II to see firsthand the production process of Toyota’s hybrid cars, which are currently being marketed.
At the same time, the participants symbolically gave plant seeds to TMMIN as a step towards greening the area around the factory.
At the end of the event, participants were also invited to deposit inorganic waste at the Astra Polytechnic Waste Station, which would later go through a recycling process.
The event also included the signing of a joint commitment by several Toyota car communities in an effort to reduce carbon production in everyday life.
The representatives of the Toyota communities and clubs include the Innova Community (IC), Innova Zenix Community (INZENITY), Zenix User (ZEUS), Owner Corolla Cross Indonesia (OCCI), All New Veloz Indonesia Community (ANVIC) and Raize Indonesia Club (RIC).
“The signing of this joint commitment is a step to reduce carbon production in everyday life which is in line with the spirit of It’s Time for Everyone,” explained the man who is familiarly called Devall.
The event was closed by filling out an online petition in support of hybrid vehicles as a low-emission mobility technology in order to obtain incentives from the Indonesian Government.
As a next step, AXIC plans to hold the 8th National Jamboree to be held in the West Java area, which is scheduled to be held in August 2024.
“Every event held by AXIC and TCF always campaigns for this spirit to its members, because anyone can contribute to reducing carbon emissions and preserving our earth,” concluded Deny. (dpid/TH)
