The accident occurred at around 21:00 in Ören Neighborhood of Akçadağ district. Allegedly, the tractor with the registration number 44 AEL 870, driven by KA (11), who was travelling in the Çatyol area, lost control of its driver and crashed into children playing on the roadside.
While the vehicle crashed into the wall of a house and came to a stop, 4 children were injured in the terrible accident. The injured were taken to Akçadağ Şehit Gökhan Aslan State Hospital and Malatya Education and Research Hospital by ambulances dispatched to the region.
Despite all interventions in hospitals, Ada Yıldırım (7) and Zelal Yıldırım (11) could not be saved and lost their lives. While their relatives, who received the news of the death of the children, had a nervous breakdown in the hospital emergency services, the police took security measures.
The bodies of the two children were sent to the Forensic Medicine Institute after the procedures in the hospitals. The injured children G.Ş. (7) and AK (7) were taken to Turgut Özal Medical Center for treatment. The investigation into the accident, in which the driver of the vehicle was taken under observation, is ongoing.
