(Seoul = Newsis) According to the Korea Expressway Corporation’s weekend traffic forecast on the 15th, highway traffic volume is expected to decrease compared to last week due to rain across the country on the third weekend of November. However, major routes and regularly congested sections such as the Gyeongbu Line, Jungbu Line, and Yeongdong Line are expected to remain congested. According to the Korea Expressway Corporation, the national highway traffic volume on this day is expected to be 5.02 million vehicles. It is observed that 430,000 vehicles are leaving the metropolitan area and entering the metropolitan area, and 470,000 vehicles are observed entering the metropolitan area from the provinces.
Congestion on the Seoul-bound highway is expected to begin between 9 and 10 a.m., peak at 5 and 6 p.m., and resolve around 11 p.m. to 12 a.m.

Looking at major routes, as of 9:30 a.m., congestion is occurring in the 7km section between Yangjae and Banpo on the Gyeongbu Expressway toward Seoul, and the 1km section near Suwon.
On the Gyeongbu Expressway toward Busan, cars are moving slowly in the 3km section between Jamwon and Seocho.
The remaining major highways all flow relatively smoothly.
Be careful of strong winds in the 60km section in both directions between Hongseong and West Pyeongtaek on the West Coast Line, the 38km section between Yeongam Point and Jangheung on the Namhae Line, and Yeongjong Bridge on the Incheon Airport Line.
