Trailer | Lee, which tells the story of an iconic war photographer, will also hit the big screen in Finland – Starring Kate Winslet

Lee, starring Kate Winslet, will premiere in Finland on September 20.

Kate Winslet steps into the shoes of iconic war photographer Lee Miller in the film Lee, which premieres in September. Originally working as a fashion photographer for Vogue, Miller documented World War II from the front, and he reported on the bombing of London, the liberation of Paris and concentration camps, among other things.

In addition to Winslet, other roles include Josh O’Connor, Andy Samberg, Alexander Skarsgård, Andrea Riseborough and Marion Cotillard.

The film is directed by Ellen Kuras, who won an award as a cinematographer in her directorial debut. Screenplay by Liz Hannah, Marion Hume and John Collee.

Winslet, who plays the lead role, also works as a producer in the film, and Indiewire reported that the project was so important to him that he financed the salaries of the film crew from his own pocket.
