A Different Man also stars actor Adam Pearson, who actually suffers from neurofibromatosis, who is known for e.g. From the sci-fi movie Under the Skin.
A24 has released the first trailer, poster and images for A Different Man directed by Aaron Schimberg and starring Sebastian Stan. The mix of black comedy and thriller had its world premiere in January at the Sundance film festival. In February, the film was screened at the Berlin Film Festival, where Stan won the best actor award for his role.
In the film, Stan plays an actor named Edward, who suffers from hereditary neurofibromatosis, which causes, among other things, tumors on the skin and bones. Stan’s masking is based on the face of his co-star Adam Pearson. Pearson, known for example from the movie Under the Skin, suffers from a severe form of neurofibromatosis.
A Different Man also features Renate Reinsve, C. Mason Wells and Owen Kline, among others.
The film arrives in the US on September 20. In the all-too-familiar A24 style, there is still no information about the premiere in Finland.
