Transfer double blow perfect! 70 million Euro transfer fee possible

FC Bayern confirmed the double departures of Noussair Mazraoui and Matthijs de Ligt to Manchester United in the English Premier League late on Tuesday evening.

“FC Bayern would like to thank Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui for the successful time together,” said sporting director Max Eberl.

The 50-year-old praised De Ligt: “Matthijs is a player who always gives his all and leaves his heart on the pitch – the fans will never forget his decisive tackle in the Champions League knockout match against Paris St. Germain.”

Mazraoui has “always performed reliably for FC Bayern for two years. We wish both of them all the best for their future at Manchester United in the Premier League,” explained Eberl.

In connection with the departures of Mazraoui and de Ligt, FC Bayern can look forward to a generous windfall. According to media reports, 45 million euros will flow to Munich for de Ligt and 15 million euros for Mazraoui. In addition, both players can receive bonus payments of five million euros, which should be easy to achieve.

FC Bayern: Matthijs de Ligt “immediately excited” by ManUnited offer

United also confirmed the transfers of the two ex-Munich players.

“When I heard that Manchester United wanted me, I was immediately excited about the chance to take on a new challenge at such an important club. In the discussions that followed, I was impressed by the vision that the sporting management had and the role they saw for me,” said de Ligt, who had previously addressed FC Bayern fans in an Instagram statement.

Mazraoui said: “It’s an incredible feeling to be a Manchester United player and I can’t wait to wear the red shirt at Old Trafford. I know I’m joining the club at an exciting time. Everyone I’ve spoken to shares the same ambition that we’re winning trophies together and I sense the determination to make that happen.”

Both players have signed a contract with United until 2029, with the option to extend for a further year.
