Huawei is preparing to unveil its new flagships tomorrow: the Mate 70 series, the Mate X6 foldable phone and the MatePad Pro 13.2 (2025) tablet.
These devices will mark a new stage in technological innovation, due to the fact that they are equipped with HarmonyOS NEXT, an operating system based on a completely new kernel.
Air Transmission technology and futuristic gestures
One of the most anticipated novelties is the Air Transmission function, which allows the transfer of files between devices without physically touching them.
According to a teaser featuring Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei’s Consumer Business division, the transfer is made through a set of intuitive gestures.
With a simple squeeze of the fist, users can “grab” the file from one device and “throw” it to another, be it a phone or a tablet.
This technology uses gesture recognition through Always-On (AON) cameras, promising a fluid and futuristic experience.
HarmonyOS NEXT: More than an operating system
It brings not only an improved interface but also new AI-based functionalities.
Among them is Magic Gesture Operations, which allows for hands-free navigation by simply moving in the air.
For example, users can turn the pages of a digital book, switch between apps or scroll through content without touching the device, an ideal solution for those times when the hands are busy with another object.
Premium design and top performance
In addition to software innovations, the company also impresses with the design and performance of its new devices.
The Mate X6, for example, features a massive rear camera integrated into a distinct island, and the use of composite fiberglass materials for the battery housings, which ensure strength and light weight.
At the same time, the Mate 70 series benefits from an advanced processor with low power consumption, optimized for high-performance AI calculations.
Ready to launch
The event official Huawei will be held tomorrow at noon, and expectations are high.
The new devices will allow users to navigate through applications, turn the pages of documents or change the music just by gestures made in the air, including those moments when their hands are dirty or they want a hands-free experience.
