At the celebration of 125 years since the creation of the Italian car manufacturer Fiat in Turin, on July 11, the new model “fiat grande panda” was officially presented, inspired by the model from the 1980s, which will be produced in the Stelantis factory in Kragujevac, Serbia, both as electric and as hybrid, the company announced earlier.

As stated, “fiat grande panda” marks the return of the Fiat brand to the global market, and the new car was developed on the basis of three key pillars: Italian design, global platform and local relevance.

The announcement states that sustainability, inclusivity, simplicity and beauty are the values that brought this project to life, while the design is inspired by the iconic “panda” from the eighties of the last century, the “blue ladies” of the automotive industry, as a car that is socially acceptable for everyone.

The price of the “fiat grande panda” model, as stated, starts below 25,000 euros for the fully electric version. This means that with a subsidy from the Serbian state, it will be purchased at a price lower than 20,000 euros.

The first member of the new Fiat family will be available in electric and hybrid versions with a 44 kWh battery and an 83 kW (113 HP) electric motor. The electric version has a range of more than 320 kilometers. This model uses a unique multi-energy platform that can be installed anywhere in the world, pure Italian design and the ability to choose the best powertrain according to the needs of customers, regardless of where they are.

The spiral charging cable stands out as one of the most innovative solutions, making the charging experience easier and neater. “Fiat grande panda” is the first vehicle on the market to include an integrated charging cable, which pairs with a standard “onboard” charger of up to seven kilowatts.

The spiral cable has a special case under the hood, which allows saving space in the trunk and encourages practical daily use because it is easy to handle and avoids the dirt of traditional cables. This solution stands out for its simple process: after opening the cover, the second step is to remove the cable and connect it to the charging station. When charging is complete, it can be easily returned to the case thanks to the spiral shape of the cable.

The “Grande Panda” stands out from other cars in the B segment thanks to the unique compactness made possible by its small size (3.99 meters long, 1.57 meters high and 1.76 meters wide) and well-organized spaciousness thanks to its compact volume: for example , the trunk has a volume of 361 liters, and the total capacity of the storage compartments located in front of the passenger is 13 liters.
