Truck manufacturer ATP Trucks wants to expand. It plans to build a second factory in Romania

The ATP Trucks Automobile company from Baia Mare has started a project to expand its activity. Known for its Truston trucks, heavy duty models intended mainly for the construction sector, the company wants to expand its production capabilities.

“We are determined to remain nimble and responsive to changing market demands. With this vision in mind, we set out to expand our production unit, in order to be able to fulfill our commitment both to the community in which we operate, but also to our customers”, said Mircea Cirț last August .

The truck production expansion project will include the construction of two production halls, with an area of ​​approximately 14,000 square meters and 17,000 square meters, respectively. Both trucks and buses would be assembled in the new buildings. It also seems that Mircea Cirț is planning another stage of expansion in the next two years.

For now, company officials announced that they are “looking for local partners to join our project to build the second ATP Trucks Automobile factory, now in Baia Mare.” In the first phase, the partners mentioned by the company should be able to deliver 8,000 cubic meters of stone for the foundation and 5,000 cubic meters of concrete of various grades.

In 2023, ATP Truks had a turnover of 59,187,952 lei, up from 2022, and net profit increased from 1,135,715 lei in 2022 to 1,734,902 lei in 2023.
