Donald Trump on Wednesday further fueled an ongoing debate that has the word “garbage” as the central focal point.
It happened when the ex-president was visiting the city of Green Bay in Wisconsin.
Trump arrived here sitting in the passenger seat of a garbage truck, which he had for the occasion equipped with his own name and slogan.
– Do you like my garbage truck? It is in honor of Kamala and Joe Biden, said Donald Trump from the window of the white garbage truck.
The word “garbage” – or “garbage” in English – has come into focus after Trump held a large voter rally in New York on Sunday.
Among the many on stage was the comedian Tony Hinchcliffe, who here referred to the US territory of Puerto Rico as “a floating island of garbage”.
The statement immediately sparked anger among Puerto Ricans.
Hardly had that conflict begun, however, before President Joe Biden intervened. He thus referred to Trump’s supporters as “rubbish” on Tuesday, and then the focus was suddenly on Biden’s criticism of Trump’s supporters.
That’s exactly what Trump stated during his performance in Green Bay on Wednesday.
– You cannot be president if you hate the American people. And I think they do, Trump said, referring to both Joe Biden and the Democratic presidential candidate, Kamala Harris.
After arriving in a garbage truck, Trump gave a nearly hour-and-a-half-long speech in Green Bay. He was wearing an orange reflective vest throughout the speech.
Green Bay is located in Wisconsin, one of the seven important swing states of the election.
