Defeating Vice President Kamala Harris in the race for the White House will be easier than President Joe Biden, former US President and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said today. He added that he is ready to debate with the Democrat Harris and attend more than one debate.
Trump has said he is “willing” to participate in at least one presidential debate with Harris. “Yes, absolutely. I want to. I think it’s important. In fact, I would be willing to do more than one debate,” he told reporters.
Trump made the comments as Harris spoke at her first campaign rally since Biden announced on Sunday that he would not seek re-election. Harris, who according to the media already has the support of enough delegates at the party convention to secure the Democratic presidential nomination, has a lead of two percentage points over Trump, according to the latest Reuters/Ipsos poll. He leads in the ratio of 44 to 42 percent.
At a rally in Milwaukee, Wis., Harris said the race for the White House between her and Trump would be a choice between chaos and freedom. She also promised to help restore reproductive rights.
