Trump’s campaign staff said Harris would be “even worse” than Biden, who on Sunday announced his withdrawal from the November 5 presidential election.
“Harris will be even worse for the people of our country than Joe Biden,” the Trump team said in a statement, adding that Harris was Biden’s “proxy” all along and there is no difference between the two, AFP quotes.

According to the American news channel CNN, Trump said this shortly after Biden announced through the X network that he will end his election campaign and will not run for re-election as president of the United States.
Trump’s team has a plan of ‘political attack’
The team of Republican Party candidate Donald Trump for the November presidential elections is preparing a plan for a political attack on Vice President Kamala Harris, The New York Times (NYT) reported yesterday, citing two unnamed sources.
According to the NYT, the Republican campaign against Harris is counting on a wave of ads focused on her previous work as vice president and her previous political career in California. Detailed documents and surveys have already been prepared, not only for Harris, but also for other Democrats who could become candidates.
Republicans have already said that they see Harris as the favorite to take over the presidential nomination, because bypassing her would further deepen divisions among Democrats and alienate black voters from the party. However, they also paid special attention to the Governor of Pennsylvania, Josh Shapiro.
Some Trump aides believe Harris could be better at presenting a policy agenda than Biden, particularly on abortion rights, an issue that has mobilized Democrats in the 2022 congressional elections. Donald Trump claims on the Truth Social network that Joe Biden “wasn’t fit to run for president, and he’s certainly not fit to serve (the country) — and never has been,” BFM TV reported.
“Everyone around him, including his doctor and the media, knew he wasn’t fit to be president, and he wasn’t,” Trump said in his status.
Trump’s status coincides with the statement of the chairman of the US House of Representatives, Republican Mike Johnson, according to which Joe Biden must “immediately” resign from the post of US president.
“If Joe Biden is not qualified to run for president, he is not qualified to serve as president. He must resign from his position immediately. November 5th can’t come soon enough,” Johnson said in a statement.
Trump’s candidate for US vice president, James David Vance, expressed himself in a similar vein even before the publication of Biden’s decision that he would not run for re-election.
“If Joe Biden ends his campaign, how can he justify staying in the presidency?” Vance asked.
