“Nemunas Aušros” candidate for the Seimas Tomas Domarkas is a newcomer to politics. However, he immediately became almost the most discussed candidate in all of Lithuania.
Voters and journalists stumbled upon his biography on the page of the Central Election Commission – even several convictions. How many of them – it is no longer clear. 15min counted three – evasion of paying VAT, participation in fights. The Lithuanian Radio journalists who prepared the report on Monday also corrected the information and emphasized that this candidate was convicted not four, but three times.
On Monday, the organization “I know what I’m choosing” organized a debate in the single-member district of Plungė-Rietava.
T. Domarko was again asked about convictions. The “Nemunas Aušras” candidate answered as follows: “Jonas Varkalys has been convicted 11 times, so I have the opportunity to do something seven more times in order to compare with the current member of the Seimas.”
