In his statement to AA correspondent, Ambassador Göksu gave information about the events to be held in Doha, the capital of Qatar, on the occasion of October 29 Republic Day.
Göksu stated that the Turkish flag will be reflected on approximately 10 buildings, such as Al Jaber Towers and The View Hospital buildings, which have symbolic value in Qatar, and that texts of solidarity with Turkey will be displayed on these buildings.

Thanking the people and institutions that supported the campaign, Göksu said, “As every year, we would like to thank the friendly State of Qatar, its institutions and its people, who showed great interest in our 29 October Republic Day. We also want to celebrate this meaningful day on 29 October and 31 October. We will commemorate the holiday with our receptions. At our National Day Diplomatic Reception on October 29, we will host high-ranking Qatari officials, diplomatic representatives, our friends from Qatar and those residing in Qatar, as well as Turkish business people and representatives of institutions. On October 31, we will host the Republic Day reception with our citizens and family. “We are waiting for all our citizens in Qatar together with their children.” he said.
