Within the scope of the aid campaign launched by IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation, Fetih Foundation, Sadakataşı Association, Darul Eytam Foundation, Orphan Foundation, AID International Doctors Association, Children of the Earth Association, Only Human International Relief Association and Umut Ol Humanitarian Relief Association with the slogan “Right Now for Lebanon” The prepared aid ship arrived at Beirut Port.
The ship arriving at the port was welcomed by AK Party Deputy Hasan Turan, President of the Lebanon-Turkey Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group Hasan Murad, Turkey’s Ambassador to Beirut Ali Barış Ulusoy and Secretary General of the Lebanon High Aid Commission Muhammed Hayr.
In his speech here, Ambassador Ulusoy said, “Today, we show once again that we do not leave our friend and brother Lebanon, which is the target of Israeli aggression and is experiencing an increasingly serious humanitarian crisis, alone, not only with our state institutions but also with our non-governmental organizations.” he said.
Ulusoy reminded that they sent 30 tons of medical supplies, medicine and food aid to Lebanon on September 25, and nearly 300 tons of various humanitarian aid on October 9.
AK Party Deputy Turan stated that “While Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is committing genocide, global powers are ringing the bells of a regional and even a world war by sending warships and aircraft carriers to the Eastern Mediterranean to support them.”
Turan stated that Türkiye, as Turkey, called out to the Netanyahu gang and their supporters to “stop this massacre and occupation, make a ceasefire immediately” to end the attacks of the Zionist regime.
Hayr, Secretary General of the Lebanese High Aid Commission, made a short speech and thanked Turkey for the assistance on behalf of the Prime Minister Necib Mikati’s government.
