The turnover share of groceries ordered online at Jumbo will be light in 2024 increased to more than 7 percent. With its home delivery coverage, Jumbo now reaches almost 100 percent of households in the Netherlands, the company says.

Jumbo has once again achieved the strongest growth in the business market for online orders. The number of customers in the healthcare sector in particular continues to increase; Thousands of healthcare institutions now order their groceries from Jumbo every week.
Since the end of 2024, all 726 Jumbo stores in the Netherlands and Belgium and all online customers have received their longer-life fresh products from the new mechanized Central Distribution Center (CDC) for fresh products in Nieuwegein.
The company as a whole was doing less well. Not only did turnover fall at the country’s second supermarket, the company from Veghel also lost half a percent of its market share.
According to CEO Ton van Veen, the decline in turnover of almost 3 percent, to 10.72 billion euros, can be almost entirely attributed to the loss of tobacco sales in supermarkets.
