Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said today that “phone diplomacy cannot replace real support” for Ukraine.
“No one will stop Putin with phone calls. Last night’s attack, one of the biggest in this war, proved that telephone diplomacy cannot replace the real support of the entire West for Ukraine,” he wrote on Platform X, Politiko reported.
As he pointed out, the coming weeks will be decisive, not only for the war itself, but also for “our future”.
During the conversation on Friday, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz reportedly condemned the “Russian war of aggression” and called on Russian President Vladimir Putin to end it by withdrawing troops.
Overnight, Russia launched a massive attack on energy infrastructure across Ukraine using multiple drones and missiles in an apparent attempt to destabilize the country ahead of winter, the portal said.
It was one of the largest airstrikes in Ukraine since August and caused power outages in many regions.
According to the media, at least seven people were killed in the attacks on Lviv, Mykolaiv, Odesa and Dnipropetrovsk regions, Politiko reported.
