Local crowd arrested two brothers with foreign weapons while occupying land illegally in Mosharkhola area of Palangkhali Union of Ukhia, Cox’s Bazar. Later the villagers handed over the two persons to Ukhia police station. A pistol with a foreign magazine and 1 round of pistol shells were recovered from them.
The two sons of Ismail, Md. Osman Sarwar (21) and Osmangani Prakash Manik (24), a resident of Mosharkhola village in Ukhiya’s Palangkhali Union, were arrested.
The incident took place on Tuesday (November 19) at around 11 am in Mosharkhola area of Palangkhali Union of Ukhia. Abdul Khalek, sub-inspector of Ukhia police station, led the operation.
Ukhia Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Arif Hoshain said that a case has been filed against the arrested persons under the relevant law. At present the situation is normal.
