DAPURPACUID – Without realizing it, the Honda Tiger Mailing list (HTML) community in the South Jakarta area has turned 20 years old. The momentum was celebrated lively at the end of last August.
Held at the X Factor Field (Kelleg Stadium), Jagakarsa, South Jakarta, on August 31, 2024, this two-decade ‘grand party’ managed to attract the attention of thousands of bikers from various clubs and motorcycle communities.
This momentum is certainly a source of pride for the Honda Tiger user community, familiarly called ‘Selataners’. The growth and development of the community over the past 20 years has received special attention from various groups.
“Alhamdulillah, the 20th anniversary of HTML simwil South Jakarta this year was successful and smooth,” said HTML South Jakarta Regional Coordinator (Korwil), Afif Hamzah.
He also appreciated all the invitees who attended, where not only from all over the Jabodetabek area, even from outside Java took the time to come and enliven it.
He explained that the 20th anniversary this year was designed differently, even special, magnificent and festive compared to previous years.
Through this grand event, Afif continued, Selataners wants to combine the momentum of togetherness among bikers regardless of the brand of the vehicle they use.
“The welcome from external parties (motorcycle clubs/communities) was extraordinary. They were able to blend in with each other without seeing differences. This is what we want, that Southers can be widely accepted in clubs and communities for friendship.”
Throughout the event which lasted from morning to night, it was filled with various exciting activities, of course musical entertainment was the main treat for the guests.
The donation distribution activity is a routine agenda that is not to be forgotten, where at that moment donations are also given to children from orphanages located around the event location.
“We want this special moment not to make Southers forget to share with the needy sections of society. Hopefully what we give is useful for them,” he added.
“On behalf of the South Jakarta HTML Advisory Board, we appreciate the Regional Coordinator and members so that the two decades of Southers’ existence have been successful,” said Alex Noorman.
Alex admitted that the implementation of the 20th Anniversary of Southers this year received positive and negative attention, both from the ‘body’ of HTML Indonesia itself and from external parties.
But behind all that, according to Alex, it is a challenge that is believed to be faced in the future. For a man who is quite ‘senior’ in the community, this condition is common in the organization.
“But rest assured that what we did yesterday to ignore it was a commitment for Southers towards maturity in organizing, and we must be like that,” he explained.
“And we returned it in the form of the success of the event two decades ago, which managed to get a very positive response from all the guests who attended,” concluded Alex. (dpid/TH)
