Sauerkraut salad is easy to make, and goes well with many dishes. Garlic and laurel give this salad a special taste.

Ingredients:

  • medium head of sauerkraut
  • 10 grains of black pepper
  • a couple of bay leaves
  • 2 heads of garlic
  • about 150 ml of oil

Preparation:

Cut the head of sauerkraut into noodles and rinse if the cabbage is too salty. Place in a deep pan, pour water to cover, add pepper and bay leaf, then let it cook for ten minutes on moderate heat.

When the cabbage is soft, strain it and set it aside to cool. Finely chop the garlic, add it to the cabbage and oil, then mix everything well.

Keep the finished salad in the fridge until serving.
