Two million growth money for Dutch Ver.iD

Ver.iD, a SaaS platform for digital identity verification, has raised two million euros in angel funding. The platform is preparing for European expansion.

It needs another four million euros for the first phase of foreign growth. Founders Sten Reijers, Roger Olivieira and Robert van Altena (Photo) behind the scenes.

The angel round was realized by a group of angel investors that Ver.iD does not mention by name.

Ver.iD is often described as the Adyen of digital identity. While Adyen helps companies easily integrate multiple payment methods and lets customers choose how they pay, Ver.iD offers a similar service for identity apps. The platform allows companies to effortlessly integrate ID wallets and digital identification methods, while allowing customers to choose which identity app they use.

The new European regulations for digital identity eIDAS 2.0 makes visible the need for user-friendly solutions. From 2026, public and private organizations, including the bankenergy suppliers and insurers, are required to integrate digital ID apps into their processes.
