According to information confirmed by the Spanish authorities, two more Romanian citizens have been identified as having died following the floods that affected the Valencian Community two weeks ago, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) announced on Thursday, November 14.
The Romanian Ministry sends its condolences to the bereaved families.
So far, following the meteorological phenomena that affected the Kingdom of Spain, nine Romanian citizens have died. The rest of the people reported missing have been located and are safe.
The representatives of the Romanian Consulate in Castellon de la Plana continue the dialogue with Romanian citizens and remain ready to provide consular assistance, depending on requests. Also, the Logistics Center for providing assistance and protection for the benefit of Romanian citizens affected by the recent meteorological phenomena remains operational and operates from Monday to Friday, between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday, between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.: 00 – 15:00, at Plaza del Alfonso el Magnánimo number 12, Valencia.
The representatives of the diplomatic mission of Romania in Madrid and of the consular office remain in permanent contact with the competent Spanish authorities regarding the Romanian citizens affected by the recent meteorological phenomena.
