Two out of every three active satellites in orbit around the Earth belong to a company owned by entrepreneur Elon Musk.
It concerns space nodes that beam broadband internet to Earth from the company Starlink. That is a label of SpaceX. That was founded in 2002 and is now still forty percent owned by Musk. The rest is owned by major investors.
Last week, the South African native announced that SpaceX had launched its 7,000th satellite into orbit for Starlink

It is estimated that there are approximately ten thousand satellites in orbit around the earth with an active role. The majority of these are used for communication services by governments and companies.
Like Starlink, China also wants to launch a global network of broadband satellites (Qianfan constellation). For this purpose, it recently launched eighteen satellites into space. According to the current plans grow to fourteen thousand.
