Publisher Ubisoft, following yesterday’s transfer of the pseudo-historical open-world action thriller Assassin’s Creed Shadows, seems to have prematurely updated the game’s description on Steam with information about the first addition.
As noted by insider Tom Henderson from Insider Gaming, on the night of January 10, Ubisoft supplemented the description of Assassin’s Creed Shadows on Steam with details of a pre-order, which is not (yet) available on Valve’s service.
According to a September announcement, Assassin’s Creed Shadows pre-orders will include the first of two planned expansion packs. As it became known, it is called Claws of Awaji and will be released after the main game in 2025.
The addon will send players to a mysterious island (probably Awaji) to experience the fear of a hunted victim: “Recover lost treasure while avoiding traps and ambushes of new deadly enemies.”
Claws of Awaji will offer over 10 hours of additional content, including another region (the island) and the ability to unlock a new weapon type (Bo Staff), equipment and abilities.
As a result of another postponement, the release of Assassin’s Creed Shadows has shifted from February 14 to March 20. The extra month will allow the team to implement changes based on player feedback collected over the past three months.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows is being created for PC (Steam, Ubisoft Connect, EGS), Mac (App Store), PS5, Xbox Series X and S. According to Henderson, a post-release co-op mode is being prepared for the game – at this stage it is supposedly called “League” ( League).
