According to Zelensky’s statement Ukraine is “grateful to President Biden for his unwavering support for the Ukrainian freedom struggle, which, along with strong bipartisan support from the United States, has been and will continue to be critical assistance to the country.”
The head of state of Ukraine added that his government “respects this difficult but courageous decision.”
Under the presidency of Joe Biden, the United States was the main supplier of arms to Ukraine during the war with Russia. According to many, Republican candidate Donald Trump would end the war in Europe by simply cutting off aid to Kiev. Although Zelensky is confident that the situation is not so critical, he also admitted that it would be much more difficult to work with Trump than with Biden.
