(Pohang=Newsis) Reporter Song Jong-wook = On the 25th, Uljin-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do, will hold a ‘Hope Talk Concert with the Citizens’ to celebrate the exemption of preliminary feasibility of the ‘Nuclear Hydrogen National Industrial Complex’ (hereinafter, Uljin National Industrial Complex) at the Uljin Yeonho Cultural Center auditorium.

The concert was held to commemorate the confirmation of exemption from the preliminary feasibility study for the Uljin Nuclear Hydrogen National Industrial Complex and to share the vision of the nuclear hydrogen industry with all citizens.

Uljin County, upon taking office as the 8th elected government, promoted the Uljin National Industrial Complex and was finally selected as a candidate site in March of last year through strategies such as hydrogen production using non-transmission electricity and preemptive securing of companies to move in.

After the exemption from the preliminary feasibility study was confirmed on the 28th of last month, the administrative procedure period until the start of construction of the national industrial complex can be shortened.

The nuclear hydrogen national industrial complex, which will become the central axis of Uljin-gun’s future, is a large-scale industrial complex with an area of 1.52 million m2 and an investment of 400 billion won.

It is expected that the development and operation of the Uljin National Industrial Complex will create economic effects worth over 17 trillion won and 37,000 jobs.

In particular, it is expected to be reborn as a key industrial base that will lead the national economy and regional balanced development by realizing carbon neutrality as well as the economic effects unique to Uljin County.

The concert will be attended by Uljin County residents who worked together to get exemption from the ETA, Uljin National Industrial Complex-related organizations, and representatives of companies expected to move in to celebrate the successful launch of the Uljin National Industrial Complex.

The concert will consist of commemorative speeches, congratulatory speeches, performances, a hope talk concert, and a presentation of Uljin County’s vision.

In the Hope Talk Concert, the “Questions for the County Governor” corner, County Governor Son Byeong-bok will personally answer questions from Uljin County residents regarding the Uljin National Industrial Complex that were posted on the county office website and through text messages from the 1st to the 19th.

In addition, the direction of military administration, including tourism, regional industries, and welfare, along with the hydrogen industry, as well as the future vision of Uljin, will be announced.

Governor Son Byeong-bok emphasized, “This concert will be an important opportunity to widely publicize the news of the Uljin National Industrial Complex’s exemption from the preliminary feasibility study, share the growth of the nuclear hydrogen industry and the potential for regional development, and share the vision of Uljin County with all residents.”
