Apparently, something is rotten at the San Siro stadium – the legendary home ground shared by Milan’s two big clubs, AC Milan and Inter Milan.
The other day, Italian police were able to reveal that they have so far arrested 19 people in connection with an investigation aimed at the illegal activities that a hard core of Inter and AC Milan ultra fans have been running for years. The activities mainly took place in and around the stadium, but branched out further into society. The case, which is still under investigation, illustrates the power that ultra-fan groups have in Italian football.
