BANJALUKA – As a consequence of the measures taken by the American administration last month, we are officially informing the public that a decision was made to terminate the operations of UNA Television in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro and Macedonia, as well as to shut down the company UNA World Network, according to the announcement of the Assembly founder of Una World Network.

“UNA Television in Bosnia and Herzegovina has faced a series of economic and legal challenges in the past few weeks due to the actions of the Office for Foreign Assets Control at the US Department of Finance (OFAC). Despite intensive efforts to find the best possible solution in order to overcome administrative obstacles and the survival of this media company, the newly created conditions on the market proved to be extremely unfavorable for the continuation of sustainable business.the announcement states.

Although Una Television in BiH has been synonymous with objective and professional reporting for almost three years, it is further said, the imposed barriers proved to be stronger than the desire and idea to promote and highlight the most beautiful values of our region and directly threatened the existence of our employees and their families. .

“That’s why, unfortunately, we don’t have good news. We are forced to take these extremely difficult steps. This decision means that more than 80 excellent professionals, our hard-working and dedicated journalists, cameramen, editors, other technical staff and experts from various fields, will lose their jobs. The same number of families will be left without significant financial income, and we fully understand the seriousness of the consequences of the decision we are forced to make. We will do everything in our power to help them during this difficult time.”the statement said.

During three years of work, it is said further, UNA television gathered a team of exceptional people, top experts, to whom we provided the best working conditions in the entire region.

“We chose them for their credibility, professionalism and with the belief that they can achieve the vision and mission of our house in the best way possible. Therefore, we would like to thank everyone once again for their loyalty and dedication, especially aware of the enormous enthusiasm and effort that has been invested in order to create perspective, modern and quality television. Unfortunately, irrational circumstances, sanctions that were imposed on us without any evidence and arguments, determined a different outcome – to shut down the dream media team and one idea of reconciliation and promotion of positive values. Also, we would like to thank our partners and clients for the trust and support they have given us since the very beginning of the work of Una Television in Bosnia and Herzegovina.”the announcement concludes.
