Unboxing with NOVA Kids Watch!

About 1 month ago, NOVA presented in Greece its three new devices, one smartphone (it to you we presented), buds and a smartwatch for kids. This was probably the most interesting of the three NOVA Kids Watch is now “here”, available, to fill a very important gap in the market that has existed for many years. Let’s see it…

NOVA Kids Watch is available through NOVA free with a 24-month Junior plan for €9.90/month, with 5GB data, 500 minutes of talk and 500 SMS, in blue and pink. In the box you will find a charging cable (magnetic) and a user guide in English.

The clock is plastic, durable, with elastic straps and very robust to withstand shocks and wear. The screen is almost 1.8″, square, colorobviously touch, while there is also a plastic button on the side. The screen haspretty good response and UI is easy to use, with the necessary applications for a child, but also the settings that need to be made.

The connection with the app on your mobile it is easily done and you are immediately in control, while of course you can add and other Kids Watches for more children/users. Support is very important e.g of the clock so you don’t mess with physical cards. Scan it QR code and you are ready.

The watch also has selfie camera above the screen, through which the child can draw photos and videosbut also to do video call with you, except obviously the normal calls speech and the SMS. There is also a possibility chat/messaging from the watch to your mobile and tumblein, instead of SMS if you want.

The GPS is highly accurate and works with Google Mapssomething particularly important. So you can see her location of the child but also his movements, while also acting as fitness tracker, showing him his steps, &c. The watch accepts firmware updates like any smartwatch and generally resembles a smartwatch in many places. You can select watchface and many more.

Finally, its battery is quite large, with capacity 800mAh and the company reports up to 100 hours of autonomy. Yes, there is power saving mode so that in borderline situations, you don’t lose contact with the watch.

The NOVA Kids Watch might be the children’s smartwatch we’ve been waiting for for years, with technology having advanced significantly but the market flooded with mediocre usability and quality watches, which aren’t always what we’d like. Recommended!
